F.A.Q.s about PTA
1. Will I have to attend meetings if I join the PTA?
Answer:
Absolutely not! You are always welcome to have your voice heard at our monthly PTA General meetings but attendance is absolutely not required.
2. Do I have to volunteer my time if I join the PTA?
Absolutely not! While we always appreciate any help you can give us by volunteering, joining PTA does not mean you are on our volunteer list at all!
3. Does my child get anything out of my joining the PTA?
Answer:
You bet! By joining the Garden Ridge PTA, you are helping support many wonderful programs that your child truly enjoys and makes his/her time at Garden Ridge Elementary a wonderful and memorable experience. A portion of your membership dues, go directly into our PTA funds. These funds are used by PTA to/for:
· Provide School buses for field trips
· Provide Recess equipment
· Book Fair & Holiday Fair
· Field Day & Carnival
· School assemblies & 5th grade Enterprise City
· 5th Grade memory day
· Pizza w/ Parents & Class party funds
· Student directory & School Supply packs
And that is just a sample. All these programs matter very much to your child (just ask them! )
4. What do I get out of PTA?
Answer:
Besides the fact that you are supporting programs and events that enrich your child’s time at Garden Ridge Elementary… As a member you are entitled to discounts from such places as:
Dell computers, Southwest Airlines, Enterprise Rent-a-car, La Quinta, Six Flags (just to name a few).
So….. What are you waiting for? Help us support your child; join the Garden Ridge Elementary PTA!
