National PTA Reflections Program
2017 Theme: Within Reach
Calling all writers, painters, photographers, musicians, story-tellers, dancers!
We need you to enter the Reflections Art Contest!
Students of all grades and abilities may participate.
This year’s theme is Within Reach and the entry needs to reflect that theme.
Students may submit entries in one or all of the available arts categories:
- Visual Arts – painting, drawing, etc.
- Dance Choreography
- Photography
- Film Production
- Literature – poetry, short story, essay, etc
- Music Composition
Started in 1969 by the Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson, Reflections has encouraged millions of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Students in preschool through grade 12 may create and submit works of art in six categories:
- Dance Choreography
- Film Production
- Literature - Poetry, Short Story, Narrative, Play Script, etc.
- Musical Composition
- Photography
- Visual Arts - Drawing, Painting, Collage, etc.
The Reflections program recognizes students at the Local, Council/Region, State and National PTA levels. At each level, all entries are judged on interpretation of the theme, creativity and artistic merit.
Students may enter into more than one category and may enter more than one project in any category.
Entry Deadline is Friday, October 20, 2017
