Texas Bluebonnet Award Program 2016 - 2017
Program Description:
Each year a list of twenty books for grades 3-6 are nominated for the Texas Bluebonnet Award.
Students who have read at least five of the books will vote for their favorite each January.
The book with the most votes wins the Texas Bluebonnet Award for that year.
How to Participate:
- Read at least five of the twenty Texas Bluebonnet Award nominees by January 13, 2017.
- Keep track of the books you have read using the Individual Tracking Chart provided below. Put a check mark in the "Read It" box when you finish reading a book. *Under the "Read It" box: -put a * for books that you really, really liked -put a smiley face for books that you like 'okay' -put a sad face for books that you didn't like
- Turn your Individual Tracking Chart in to Mrs. Earl by January 13. Make sure your name, teacher's name, grade level, and favorite Bluebonnet Nominee is indicated above.
- When voting begins, Mrs. Earl will invite you to the library to vote online for your favorite Bluebonnet Book.
The winning book will be announced in March 2017!
